Refresher Courses

To help ensure Staff remain operationally competent in addition to normal training (Maintenance of Skills) regular Continual Personal Development (CPD) sessions should be built into their work or duties.  To assist Services/ Employers with that and to ensure Staff are kept abreast of any changes or updates in Technology, Legislation or Best Practice programmed refresher courses are utilised.

Refresher courses are designed to revisit/ cover the risk critical elements of an Operator, Instructors or Tactical Advisors role as well us updating on any changes that may have occurred since their initial course.

Course content is bespoke to the Fire and Rescue Service/ Employer's appliance and equipment inventory and will ensure all risk critical areas are refreshed as well as updates in Technology, Legislation and Best Practice.

Refresher Requirements,

Operator- 3 Yearly (2 Day)

Instructor- Annual (2 Day)

Tactical Advisor- Annual (2 Day)
