3 day course (subject to appliance/ equipment and mobilisation requirements)
Designed around the host Fire and Rescue Services own appliance and equipment inventories, mobilisation strategies and external partner working protocol's.
This course is aimed at all Flexi Duty Officers, Supporting Officers or SME's attending Heavy Rescue incidents to give Tactical Advice to the Incident Commander.. It ensures Students are well prepared and able to support the Incident Commander with all necessary health and safety, safe systems of work, rescue technique awareness and scene management requirements.
This course requires a 2-day annual refresher to keep current Tactical Advisors competent in role and updated with the latest best practice changes in equipment, techniques and relevant legislation. This refresher is not suitable for new staff who have not undertaken the full Tactical Advisors course.
This course would also benefit Supervisory Personnel from partner agencies such as Police, Ambulance, Hart, Hems also Highways and specialist Heavy Recovery/ Crane Operators to give an awareness into Fire and Rescue Service procedures and tactics at Heavy Rescue incidents.
