With the cost of fuel increasing, the drive towards cleaner air worldwide and the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone scenes across the UK, vehicle manufacturers are continually evolving fuel technology within their vehicles.
There are a multitude of fuel choices on UK roads today all presenting different risks and hazards to the first responder.
This one day awareness course gives students the opportunity to examine the most popular as well as consider future technologies.
The course will cover not only primary alternative fuels fuel types such as Hydrogen, LPG or Natural gas, but also blended or hybrid technologies like Diesel/ Bio fuels.
Students will consider the safe management of these fuel types at operational incidents and discuss and apply rationales for any relevant Safe systems of work (SSOW).
